What is NDIS exercise funding?
The NDIS funds supports that help participants pursue their goals – and for many people, staying active and maintaining physical function is one of the most important. Under the right support categories, participants can use their NDIS plan to access ongoing supervised exercise, not just one-off assessments.
At Easy Exercising, NDIS participants come weekly. Some have been coming for years. The goal isn’t to complete a course of treatment – it’s to build a consistent movement routine that supports independence, strength, and quality of life over the long term.
How Easy Exercising supports NDIS participants
Easy Exercising operates two supervised, small-group exercise studios in Brisbane – at Capalaba and Morayfield. Sessions use power-assisted equipment that runs on pneumatic (air) resistance rather than weights. That means the machines help your body move through its full range of motion without placing compressive load on joints.
For NDIS participants, this matters because:
- The movement is controlled and low-impact – suitable for a wide range of conditions and mobility levels
- Qualified trainers work alongside participants throughout every session
- The environment is small, calm, and purpose-built for people who don’t want a mainstream gym
- Sessions are ongoing – participants come weekly, not for a fixed course
Who uses Easy Exercising on NDIS funding?
Easy Exercising works with NDIS participants across a wide range of conditions and ages. Common reasons participants come include:
- Neurological conditions – Parkinson’s, MS, stroke recovery
- Musculoskeletal conditions – arthritis, joint replacements, mobility decline
- Chronic conditions affecting energy and movement – EDS, POTS, fibromyalgia
- Intellectual or psychosocial disability combined with low physical activity
- General deconditioning and the goal of improving independence

Funding categories
NDIS-funded exercise services (such as exercise physiology or tailored exercise programs) are typically funded under Capacity Building Supports — most commonly in the Improved Health and Wellbeing or Improved Daily Living categories, depending on your plan and goals.
In some cases, Core Supports may assist with related needs (e.g., support worker assistance for community access), but therapeutic exercise programs generally draw from Capacity Building.
Your support coordinator, LAC, or plan manager can confirm which category and budget applies to your specific situation.
We provide invoices in the correct NDIS-compliant format and work with self-managed, plan-managed, and agency-managed participants.
