NDIS Funded Activities for Disability
The NDIS is a revolutionary Australian Government initiative that provides financial assistance and continual support to those with a disability, regardless of their financial standing. It differs from other social welfare programs because it does not depend on means of testing. This scheme intends to improve the quality of life for those with disability by providing them with lifetime support.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a funding support program that assists people with disabilities to participate more fully in daily life.
NDIS Funded Support Activities
Participants of the NDIS scheme can use the funds for a variety of activities. The list of NDIS supported activities includes:
- daily personal activities
- transport to enable participation in community, social, economic and daily life activities
- workplace help to allow a participant to successfully get or keep employment in the open or supported labour market
- therapeutic supports including behaviour support
- help with household tasks to allow the participant to maintain their home environment
- help to a participant by skilled personnel in aids or equipment assessment, set up and training
- home modification design and construction
- mobility equipment, and
- vehicle modifications.

Client Testimonials for Easy Exercising NDIS Support
For instance, here is what Kirsty says regarding her Easy Exercising for NDIS sessions:
“I’m Kirsty … I have Multiple Sclerosis. I heard about this place from my friend and I’ve been coming now for two weeks. I’m hoping it’s going to help me be more independent and stronger in myself, and hopefully dance at my daughter’s wedding.”
And here is what Katrina said:
“I come here because I have a bit of a disability and the ladies here are supervising me all the time, helping me out on the machines … I like coming here because it’s a social outing. I’ve noticed my movement in my body better, and also mentally. All you’ve got to do is act naturally and have fun.”
Easy Exercising – NIDS is not just for women. Listen to how much Michael enjoys his time at his Easy Exercising – NDIS sessions:
“I’m a member of the NDIS and I come here for rehabilitation. I find it very beneficial and I recommend it to anybody else that has a … disability. It’s the most relaxing exercising that you can do and it really helps you. I know that for a fact.”
Easy Exercising – NDIS evolved naturally, with NDIS participants in the Brisbane area discovering how good the power-assisted machines are in helping them manage their health, and also how much fun they have with other participants. The sense of belonging is a positive by-product of participants coming together with shared objectives.
Sisters Andrea and Jessica Curtis have worked tirelessly for over four years to create and build a support service that is completely different from a gym, and suitable for people with health challenges. Their cheeky sense of humour and no-nonsense approach helps keep people accountable to their goals while being realistic about the obstacles. When any participant sees improvement, their efforts are celebrated by the whole community.

"I had a very good hour doing Easy Exercising which isn’t hard on your joints. I think it’s good for any over fifties to try as they will find it so good for their different problems or just to have some general exercise. There is a qualified person supervising you on each machine & its a very sociable environment." - Margaret
The reason a free trial session is offered is so that you get the opportunity to see how the clinics are set up, how it feels to be there with other participants, and to meet Andrea, Jessica, or one of their team members.
Please make sure that once a time is arranged for your free trial session, that you do attend, or contact Andrea or Jessica to reschedule if necessary. If you simply do not turn up, the time slot that was reserved for you is wasted, meaning somebody else misses out.
